Press the prt Scrn button next to F12 and scroll lock then copy it into Paint or Photoshop

Nope. It's now on your clipboard. Just go into any image edtor (such as Paint) and press Ctrl+V.

scroll lock stops the Directional buttons from controlling your screen like if you press down your screen will go down, and I don't know what num lock does

On Apple computers there is some word combiation of buttons and you select the part of the screen you want to save. I think it's Ctrl+Apple+Shift+4

The pointer should turn unto a crosshair type button. Us this to make a box like on windows when u make boxes on the background. The box will be filled in gray. whatever is in the box(the gray area) will be print screened.

Oh yeah, I once had to do that in school once when I needed to save a picture that I couldn't copy. Better way of screen printing in my opinion, but remembering that stupid combination is troublesome.

Makes me wonder.. why does the school teach on Macs when most kids will need to use Windows..

I think it all has to do with the district. What computers can they get in Bulk at the cheapest price.

My first middle school was in Vegas, and we had Macs. My second middle school was in Round Rock, Texas (Dell Headquarters), so naturally we used Windows. My third middle school was in Sunland, CA, and they used Macs (That was a very poor school, so price probably heavily infulenced that). And now the school (Valencia, CA) I'm at now uses windows. The district is acutally in the process of getting new computers (Dell's) for all the schools.

It just depends on what the school district can afford. I think Macs must be cheaper, because all the schools I went to that had Macs where in really poor school districts.
