i used to use mac os 9 on a mac with 32 mb ram, and a 20gb hard drive, i put on virtual pc and the i had a 500mb har drive, it didn't even have a phone plug on the back, i had to use a "communications adapter" so i bought that but it was a phone cable-usb adaptor, my comp was so old it didn't have a friggin usb port!!!!

Vista is a different sort than Linux though, right? Doesn't the new Vista, as a final program (not beta) going to require a new computer for compatability? I mean it cant use old graphics cards well anymore, its gonna be a new breed specifically for the Vista computers so I imagine you wont be gettin very good sound on your computer even if you get it to work, which from what I've heard sounds unlikely.
um, i think the reason that vista is not compatable is not for the reason to make all comps obsolete, but that they are working on the OS not the compatability. Im sure they will add lots of driver support in the final vista...
