yeh, i did it with my nano. none of the formating things worked. so i took it to dixons and they hard formated it and it worked ever since. :D

I could, but if i mess up and they notice, i will have lost my $300 investment
I was thinking of buying a $30 hard case and dropping the ipod off my bike at 40 miles per hour a couple of times.
I just hope the case would survive that and not open

tie it to a bit of string and hang it off your bike. or you could break the perspex cover on it so that it has a big crack down it. your warranty covers that as far as I know.
