its simple just say its stopped working with your pc. say whenever you plug it into your pc it comes up with found new hardware and starts installing the drivers (which are already installed) and then says there was a problem installing your hardware, then it says safe to disconnect on your ipod screen. tell that to apple and they'll probly take it away for a day or so run some tests and send it back saying its fine. then say the exact same thing as before and bingo new ipod. Apple do this because they test with a mac and it works fine. I know this works cos we did it with my sisters. which turns out it was the pc's fault because the motherboard died 3 days after getting the brand new ipod.

does anyone think this thread needs to be stickied anymore? its kinda always at the top of the forums anyway?

im just trying to minimize the amount of stickies and this is the main one that i dont think is necessary.

If its gonna cause a riot then i'll leave it.

It has once been theorised that everything one needs to know about the universe it in this thread, at any rate if you search for anything this thread appears first...

lol yeah it does. i know its the most important thread on the forums. im just wanting to make another stickie for sigs cos im getting tired of a new sig thread opening everyday. and there are already loads of stickies.

becasue i'm trying to dl the dvd iso of knoppix and it's too big for fat32 harddisk volumes

or something like that

whenever i try to dl it before it toldme that a 50gig partition wasn't big enough for a 4gig iso

funny i just format one of my partitions to fat32 from ntfs so it can work with my mac


one word pure hell and wasted time dam window limt to 32 gb max

I cant fu*king believe this, my ipod is fu*king unbreakable...
After shaking and dopring it like helll when the HD was spinning, the ipod eventually gave up and turned off. I coundnt turn it on, no matter what. The screeen wouldnt even light up. (its plugged into the wall this whole time).

Then the guy at the apple store went to the back, and 5 minues later came out with my ipod working...

what you need to do is give it a bath. that'll kill it good and proper. say it was raining cos accidental damage should be covered by warranty
