Whats the point of modding a game console like that? I just dont see the logic behind it except for rich idiots who can shave off that kind of cash to do it for no reason.

Even so, whats the point? To make your console look "tricked out"? Makes you look more like a douche in my opinion. Why mod the console?... you look at the tv while its turned on... not the machine.

please stop posting the xb360 mods. i still got ages left on my warranty. stupid uk law making all electrical goods have a years warranty. i want to crack it open now and change the fans and whack some arctic silver under the heatsinks. then start thinking about modding. But i got til april 07 to wait.

SO prove my first point wrong. How much does it tyically cost to make a console look like one of those pictures?

Oh and the reason to do it is individualism. I tend to not follow the standards and make any changes i possibly can to make my console looks different. If people didn't like the idea then why do they sell pre modded pc cases? And they do sell.

not much, i just like moddin my stuff cause i just feel like doing it. I want my **** to be different from others, its that simple, and if someone is willing to spend money on it then let them, its their choice

I modded my PSP although it a waste of money which currently i have none of. Other things are far more important then modding. But if I have that extra bit of cash then every now and then I do something like that. I rather not though. And no I ain't rich, I'm a broke-ass East London P***.

We cant have a debate about this? Its obvious this is a great chance for a good discussion... lets roll with it, what else are we going to talk about? Wether or not Darth's avatar is good or not?

Your right you don't look at your console for very long, but if you take it round someone's house or when you post pictures on the internet. People see it. This is my point. Im glad you said this because what im trying to point out is that "wow" factor you mentioned. You moded your console so that when other people see it they are impressed/envious/whatever. And you KNOW this, basically you are doing it to make youself better than everyone who you show it to. Wouldnt you agree with that in some respect? I mean what else is showing off what you have if not to make other people hink differently of you.
