Youresam's actions were justified, what is there to argue about? I'm lost why you guys are asking me to free a person who's ban was justified. A joke, I don't think so... Sure, it was a prank and all - but that does not change it being wrong. A death threat was a perfect example as it can be taken in two ways, serious and as a joke. youresam's title change wasn't a joke because you say so.

youresam's title change was as bad as a death threat.

1. changing someones user title on an online forum is not going to kill anyone.
2. no one threatend to kill anyone here.
3. you brought up ppl getting murdered for no reaosn.
4. this is no shape or form can be compared to threatnening to kill someone.

I used that as an example as it is widely known - you say one thing, but it is taken the wrong way as a serious statement. I'm not comparing life and death, you guys are being too literal of the situation.

The concept of a death threat is that it has implications that you might kill someone.

The concept of changing someone's title to "pwned by abe froeman" on a forum where Abe would never do anything like that is that of being an obvious joke.

In life, if you threaten someone saying you will kill them - the authorties do not take that as a "joke", and we will not take youresam's actions as such either. I do believe that a month is harsh as less was given to an impersonator of an admin (myself) - as a result, I will review the situation and most likely lower the ban to be equal with the impersanator, and/or less.

However, the actions by a few of you are outrageous and will not be tolerated. There's a proper method with dealing with bans, so I suggest everyone read our policies again...

Let me explain, as your simple mind obviously can't comprehend such matters on it's own.

If someone threatens to kill someone, joke or not, the authorities must take action, because the potential consequences are huge, someone could die.

However, youresam 'Impersonating a mod' (If you can even call it that) did not require such extreme action, as he could not go any further. He could pretend he was a mod, but not do anything a mod can do.

Youresam changed some people's titles for fun, none mean, just funny.

One of those titles said "pwned by abe froeman."

So youresam then receieved no warning and a one month ban.

That is the exact circumstance.

He changed a few titles, one of them was 'Pwned by Abe_Froeman' or something similar.

Apparently that is 'impersonating a mod'.
