    Its much better than the depthless crap the kids are watching today (Naruto, Death Note, One Piece, etc).

    Every time I watch through I pick out more and more bits of psychological theory that have been interwoven into the plot and characters. The fine folks at Gainax are really quite genius.

    It's good, there's a lot of debate on the "true" depth of it, but overall it's a great anime. Just watch out for the last few episodes, the budget got cut towards the end leaving a pretty psyched-out ending.
