get some big springy clips, and lift hair up using clip, leaving a straight section down, and straighten that, then work in layers, like one inch sections, then on the top layers kinda scoop the hair as you pull the straightener down to create natural shape around head, and dont over do the roots, work only on the tips using several short quick gentle strokes not long slow hair damaging singing cooking strokes. and use heat protection spray or serum, it hold it better and stops you making matters worse.

only use it on tips though, otherwise you get greasy look and frizzy looking ends. its designed to protect older hair, not new roots.
