If it works the way I think it does then the second option since it gives you 9.6GHz while the first option only gives you 6.0Ghz. Probably wrong though.

It's not out here yet. But I'm aiming it get GT5: Prologue next friday (in English ) and then Condemned 2 will likely be my next game. I want to get Bully for 360 as well but not until the bugs have been patched.

Ok, if those are you're options, then go for the Quad-core... The only reason I needed to know the model number of the Dual-core is because there's two Dual-core CPU's that run at 3Ghz. The difference being, that the one you posted uses a 65nm chip, while the other one (the E8400) runs on a 45nm, which runs cooler and more efficiently. If you're options are between the E6850 (Dual Core 3Ghz 65nm) and Q6600 (Quad 2.4Ghz 65nm), then go with the Q6600... If you're choosing between the E8400 (Dual Core 3Ghz 45nm) and the Q6600, then go for the E8400.

The E8400 is only a couple months old, so chances are you wont be able to get a custom machine with it (how long it will take, if ever, I have no idea). If you're not savvy on how to install a CPU, then I would just go for the Q6600. The E8400 (from what I can see) is priced about the same, but is only slightly better than the Q6600.

So, to make a long story short, your best bet is the Q6600. I wouldn't even consider a Dual Core, unless you can find somewhere that has E8400 available as an option.

Yeah, there's only those two that have the same price in the computer I chose at ibuypower.com. The E8400 isn't on that list. So, yeah, I'll go with the Quad. Thanks for the help.

I didn't know Condemned 2 wasn't out over there, PS3 or 360? cause I know the ps3 version was delayed here till a week after the 360 version, as for Bully: SE, the bugs weren't that bad for me, but I can see why you'd want to wait, there have been times when I was in the middle of something and It froze on me:Argh:

PS. If you don't mind. I wouldn't turn down being able to play an understandable version of GT5.

I can't decide between PS3/360 but I tend to be buying multi platform games for PS3 now because I don't have to pray for green lights when I turn it on.

According to last weeks Giant Bombcast/Arrow Pointing Down Podcast R* are gonna get a patch out soon for Bully. So I get some more time to finish up some games. I've managed to hammer through Folklore, The Orange Box, Uncharted, Mass Effect and Final Fantasy XII since I decided that I have too many games outstanding to complete. Just Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonata, Lego Star Wars TCS and DMC4 to go now (the rest are lost causes like Forza 2 and PGR4, basically things that don't have a story to follow). I'm considering trading Eternal Sonata in and waiting for the PS3 version with extra content, it just gets a game off my radar.

As for Prologue, like Axxewraith said, I'm blu-raying it. It's already pre-ordered and payed for. Sorry man, if I was getting the PSN version you'd be top of the list for it, was hugely generous to let me have the Japanese version. I hardly played it but it was just nice to be able to see what the game would play like.

No worries. And yeah I sometimes don't finish all my games either. I was surprised when I finished bully 100%
