i figured it out
first go to join game
then go to buddies
then right click on buddy and left click on add buddy and it will tell you to put the name of your buddy

you didnt tell him to right click on buddys thats how i put you on my buddies list

Ok. Starting from main menu, select join game

From the tabs at the top, select Buddies

On the left pane, under Buddies, right click and select "add budies" then type in a name, then click ok. Repeat for each name.

Nah all good. But i didnt edit it. But no big deal. At least we know the demo can add buddies. 2k4 fun for all!
