Hey all, ATI is great and all. Dont get me wrong. However anyone with a All in Wonder card. (I have a 9600XT AiW) will know.. if you upgraded your drivers and software on a normal basis and the multi media center. You will already know. That if you use the AV-Svid ports for input, the audio and video will be out of sync!
I learned that awhile back when I felt something wrong... couldnt put my finger on it, till I tested with DDR... that proved it. I searched the web abit, came across other users who had the same issue. Them claiming ATI support said just to reinstall etc, and nothing was wrong, later on after more reading, someone at ATI support said the new software/drivers has a downside when they do the new "streaming" to HD. It causes the AV ports to be out of sync. Making them useless in a sense.
I finally emailed tech support myself, heard the same things, they told me which version to use of the drivers, mmc software and so to where it wasnt going to have that issue. So I am using those so I can use my game consoles on my PC without a audio/video sync.
However, that leaves a issue which they still cant really answer me... What do I do about the new updated drivers for fixes on different games? Maybe enhancements and so on. Cant even use the updated multimedia center etc. Unless I wanted to live without sync in my inputs.
So I was wondering, who else uses AiW? Found a fix for this yet? Got any ideas? Just wondering, maybe pool info around to see what options there are... seems AiW is useless for inputs if you want the updated drivers. =(
Sucks in a way.. =/
