Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (Review) by TMT
Reviewer's Note: I've seen it in Japanese and English so here is my review.
Soundtrack 9/10: Best Orchestral Music I've heard in a long time. It also experiments mixing Rock with Orchestral music which turned out nice. It would've gotten a 10 if it wasn't for the Techno music.
Acting 8/10: The English voice acting was ruined by Mena Suvari who still messed up Aerith. Steve Burton as Cloud could've done better. He sounded great in Kingdom Hearts( 1 not 2 he was off his game in 2 as well). The Japanese voice acting is good.
CGI 10/10: This where it really excells. The CGI is well done I can see every strand of hair. I only had one minor(And I mean very minor). Tifa's Hair looked Jagged close up. But very well done.
Story 8/10: It's a story for fans of FFVII or people who've played every FF game and beat it. This story isn't for people who haven't even touched it though they did add a special feature in the DVD to recap the game but the subtitles move way too quick. The story is taking place 2 years after FFVII. When Cloud is forced out of retirement of being a hero to stop Kadaj who's trying to bring back Sephiroth.
Special Features 1/10: This is something random that will not affect the score but the Special Features suck. It said previews of FFVII games. I saw Crisis Core and all I saw and it was footage fo FFVII: Last Order.
Overall 9/10: If your a fan get it. If you are an Action movie fan get it. If your neither stay far away.
Final Note: Save the Japanese for last since you know the old saying save the best for last.
