OK I'm sick of all the photoshop tut's , so im gonna make some fireworks ones, some of the only in the world :Argh:.
Luckily for you photoshop users all these tut's will work with photoshop topp (well, most of them)
So first, here's pixel stretch:
You will be making something like this:
First create a 300 x 150 image with a blank canvas, like this:
Then open up your image to use into another tab.
Shrink the image to 150 pixels high OR crop it to 150 pixels high.
Then use the marquee tool:
to select a part of the image 150pixels high and 1 or 2 pixels wide, like so:
Then cut that one part, so you have a white strip in the first image, and paste the cut part into your first blank canvas.
You should have something like this:
Then hold down CONTROL and press T on the thin bar, or sekect it , go to the modify menu, go to transform, then go to free transform. There will be a little circle in the middle of the image, drag that away. You should be left with something like this:
Click the middle handle, and drag it out to the right hand side of your image, you will then have a basic pixel stretch!
Then you can just add some text ,and maybe a border, to come up with something like this (its not supposed to be brilliant):
This image is a fireworks png by the way, so you can always download it and use it yourself with all the layers still intact
