Even if it did form by chance, there is a 100% chance. Think of the size of the universe. take the number of galaxies that have been discovered, the number of stars in each galaxy, and the number of planets orbiting those stars. The odds of life existing somewhere on one of those planets (carbon-based or possibly different) is pretty much 100%. Earth was just one of those places that happened to spawn life. You have to remember that the planet is not perfect for our survival because we are here; we are here because the planet is perfect for our survival. Earth is probably not the only planet with life either.
