Okay, this thread will probably get more respect. As it turns out there was actually music before the 80s. Shocked? Well, watch more of the Tube network and they'll update you a bit. Anyway, I think the 20s are a good start. Which era of music was the most influential? The most original?
20s Jazz age
40s Rhythm and Blues
60s Psychedelic and Folk Rock
70s A very mixed era in rock. Includes progressive, country, and punk
80s New Wave, Alternative Rock, Heavy Metal, Punk and others
90s Lots of stuff, Mostly Grunge, Indie, and Nu-Metal
Of course were more music styles in each of the decades, but the ones I've listed are what started in those decades.
As for my pick, it's really hard. It's either a choice between the 20s or the 60s. It's Jazz v.s. Rock and it's going to take some time for me to decide. Hopefully, you guys won't have this problem so go ahead and choose.:dj:
