using only the numbers 1-9 once each, tell me what each letter represents in A * [(B+C)^(D - E) - F^(G*H)] / J = 10 where C-B=1 and H-G=3

2. rofl its not advanced its just hard and takes a ****load of time

start with the smaller equations and list all possibility for which C-B=1 and H-G=3

then try em w. the big one

3. H = 4, G = 1, C = 3, B = 2
H = 4, G = 1, C = 4, B = 3
H = 4, G = 1, C = 6, B = 5
H = 4, G = 1, C = 7, B = 6
H = 4, G = 1, C = 8, B = 7
H = 4, G = 1, C = 9, B = 8
H = 5, G = 2, C = 4, B = 3
H = 5, G = 2, C = 6, B = 4
H = 5, G = 2, C = 7, B = 6
H = 5, G = 2, C = 8, B = 7
H = 5, G = 2, C = 9, B = 8
H = 6, G = 3, C = 2, B = 1
H = 6, G = 3, C = 5, B = 4
H = 6, G = 3, C = 8, B = 7
H = 6, G = 3, C = 9, B = 8
H = 7, G = 4, C = 2, B = 1
H = 7, G = 4, C = 3, B = 2
H = 7, G = 4, C = 5, B = 4
H = 7, G = 4, C = 6, B = 5
H = 7, G = 4, C = 8, B = 7
H = 7, G = 4, C = 9, B = 8
H = 8, G = 5, C = 2, B = 1
H = 8, G = 5, C = 3, B = 2
H = 8, G = 5, C = 4, B = 3
H = 8, G = 5, C = 7, B = 6
H = 9, G = 6, C = 2, B = 1
H = 9, G = 6, C = 3, B = 2
H = 9, G = 6, C = 4, B = 3
H = 9, G = 6, C = 5, B = 4
H = 9, G = 6, C = 8, B = 7

4. ok go from there

5. im stuck

6. im too lazy to solve it.
-= Double Post =-
ok heres an idea: solve each equation for the variables in need. so find out what A = and what B = and then substitute when needed

7. ok but that will take time if anyone has an easy answer/solution/THE answer that would be helpful

8. why is there a "J" instead of an "I"?

9. no it is J there just is no I

10. A B C D E F G H (no I) J... :P

11. what numbers are they though like ABCEFGHJ=234159687

12. whats...

3x43244244x3546x42x6x5642 x65x6423x343x4-213123x2321-3213213233232+231x0=??

13. lala making it more than 5 characters so i can post its 0 now someone be SENSIBLE

I'll start you off.

C - B = 1 so C = B + 1
H - G = 3 so H = G + 3

Substituting those into the original equation gives:

A * [(B + B + 1)^(D - E) - F^(G * [G + 3])] / J = 10
A * [(2B + 1)^(D - E) - F^(G^2 + 3G)] / J = 10

Also you can deduce that G must be 6 or less and B must be 8 or less based on the same equation.

That should get you started, I am not doing your homework for you :rtfm:

15. it aint my homework! and i know your first bit...
