Let's list on how the Wii is worth it.
It comes already with a Wiimote(which costs $60) and a Nunchaku(which is in the $40-ish dollar range). So now you get Around $100 for the packaged totaled up. You also get miniaturization costs of the system(It's the smallest system they've ever made yet the hardware is superior to the Xbox). Costs around $50. So $150ish. And now we get a game that comes with it. So $210. So now actually making the system. Add about an extra $100. So $310-ish.. So $310-ish. But that's for the package. The acutual console costs about $150 to make. I'm just saying it's a package that's worth it. And I'm not a Nintendo fanboy. I love all consoles. Just don't want to pay $600 for a console with a crappy launch line-up. And well I don't have an HD setup so I don't have to worry about it looking worse. So while it will be awhile til' I do. I will get all 3 consoles eventually.
p.s. I forgot the costs you need to pay for Music and Video playback.
