I wrote this today - it's only for a bit of fun...
Dedicated to our beloved Devs. To name a few would be unfair - we all know they're out there...
May they never tire in their task, and may every small defeat lead to glorious victory!
A short (and of course, silly) poem:
Sony Homebrew Song
Hear me tell a torrid tale
Of Sony ventures bound to fail
When in their haste to halt a pirate
They made the rest of us gyrate
I'm sure you've heard a little bit
Of the scandalous use of a root kit
On music discs without consent?
How they were told to go "get bent"?
Well, old news that, but not forgot
For new battles rage against their rot
Throughout the web and IRC
Homebrew crowds cry out "run free!"
T'is revolution of odds and sorts
Humble devs against Sony's forts
With wit and guile (and random prods)
They seek weaknesses in self-deigned Gods
Oh, you might think that we were blessed
For, without Sony, we'd be PSP-less!
But... why make a toy with which to play
Then take the point of it away?
We're players and geeks, we're not so bad
We're not all thieves, all copy mad
All we want is rights and room
For coding fun, homebrew freedom!
And so our champions battle on
Give Sony much to think upon
And carried forth by their blood and sweat
We lost souls ain't finished yet!
New firmwares come, and many more
Will fall upon our brave devs' doors
But while they fight for every right
We sleep easy another night
And hope long hopes that given time
They'll make wares better than I can rhyme!

EDIT: I still think "irate" works, but what the hey...
