exploration or conquest?

i want to get what you think on this:

is human nature conquest or explorative

i personally vote for the first as our true nature and movies/tv shows have eluded us to think that it is expolative but as i said on want to get ur opinion

always been conquest. or at least since recorded history. because thats all i can really study. ill cite a few examples. rome, napolian, hitler bush.

Well I was going to say conquest at first, but when I thought about it for a bit, really the only conquerers were men in power, the men in power always want more, the men who follow, do so because they are told to. There are very few conquerers, compared to the vast amount of people that died for their cause. So I would say, that only a small percentage of people would conquer, the only ones that want to, proved it by gaining a seat in power, thus fulfilling their need.
Why do most people like to travel to strange new places? I think there is an explorer in all of us.
