Glow-in-the-dark puppies: pics, video, and florescent cuteness
All hail advancements in cloning and genetic manipulation. Following Snuppy and the glowing kittens, guys, let me introduce to you... Ruppy, the glow-in-the-dark puppy!

Not necessarily "glow-in-the-dark" as we regularly define it. But this little dude glows red when under UV light. Ruppy here is actually one of four successfully cloned beagles with the red florescent proteins. And wheeeeere, pray tell, did they get those red florescent proteins? SEA ANEMONES. o_0 mmmm hmm, not kidding.
These guys are the first transgenic dogs in scientific history. New word for the day: transgenic, meaning creatures with genetic info from another species.

Aww. I want one!!! A glow-in-the-dark dog, I mean. Not the gene. (Though I've always secretly wanted the mutant power to show stripes on my skin upon command.)
