Why arent NASA interested in all of the other planets?
Sure Mars is very important because it could have housed life a long time ago. Main word in that sentence is COULDVE! I mean, what makes MARS so damn important that we get NASA sending robots there. Mars is probably the most "discovered" planet next to our own, I mean, look at Jupite and its moons, those are way more interesting than mars, Mars is not as interesting! Its going to be destroyed when one of its moons collide with it in a while. Nasa should stop looking at things that have already been thoroughly explored enough, dont we have enough rocks and samples from mars?
I mean NASA should look toward things that are able to actually have life on them NOW! Like Jupiters moon Europa, its a big ice ball, but underneath about 12 miles of ice, is an ocean. So by rule of life, ocean=water, water=microscopic organisms.
And what about Jupiter huh? Its the biggest planet in our solar system, the only reason we cant send anything there is the atmosphere, but not the planet, again like Saturn, its Moons.
We need gas right? I saw a documentation on the Science Channel about moons, and I forget the name, one of the moons has enough oil on it to fuel our planet for the next 500,000 years.
What about Neptune and Uranus, I dont even think a probe has even been sent to those planets, sure there might not be anything that is life, but maybe something that scientists can study to learn from, maybe a new chemical, who knows.
And the other 3 planets, Mercury(too close to the sun), venus(already sent a probe that survived 91 minutes), and pluto(IT would take waaaaay too long for a probe to get there), yeah I guess it would take too long for a probe to get to some planets, such as Uranus, and Neptune, but not Saturn or Jupiter.

Yeah, I'm pretty dissapointed in our space exploration advancements too. Seems like we should have moved into the rest of our solar system by now.

Going to mars is like proving your EGO, yeah we got to mars, didnt really find anything, BUT WE GOT THERE! We are so 1337!!!
kinfOfNoobs your name is quite appropriate, at least spell a planets name right before you bash it.indistortion.net/iwantyoursoul/?i_am=Shadow-BOT"]http://www.mindistortion.net/iwantyoursoul/?i_am=Shadow-BOT

Before that we should get a colony on the moon.
QJ loads way 2 slow & the theme is ugly as hell, gone are the glory days

Lol the and the point of that being? Having a colony on the moon is waaay too pointless, If we had one on mars there are a few advantages such as: You can build a spacestation there and launch spaceships off mars, it would be quicker to get to some other plantes, And if you live on the moon for too long, your body will get used to the gravity, so you will die from your organs not being used to gravity if you decide to go back to earth.

I personally think it's kind of dumb to waste money on mars....

Lets face it people, we will never find something like earth, but we can create something like earth if we learn from other planets, If we learn enough about the innards of each planet and its atmosphere, we will have enough knowledge of how to create the 'Perfect PLanet'.
But no, NASA might seem smart with their high technology, but their missions are utterly pointless and money wasting, except for a few, space station, voyager, hubble, and a few key other. But name one REALLY IMPORTANT mission nasa completed over the past 6 years that isnt the new space station? Repair hubble? Go on mars and get a few rocks. Sure that was important, but did it really improve our knowledge of this Cosmos? No it didnt.

Mars is "overly hyped", its always been the most popular planet next to Earth, and why is the question?
Because of pure diry speculation theories, sure theories are great sometimes, but they get out of hand, any one of you familiar with the radio broadcasting of when Martians Attack? It made hundreds of people flee homes because on the radio they made it seem like Martians were invading,
And come to think of it, why martians? No saturneans? No Neptunians? Mars is just a planet filled with speculation and theories, like all of the supposed canals it had that a certain scientist thought he discovered/indistortion.net/iwantyoursoul/?i_am=Shadow-BOT"]http://www.mindistortion.net/iwantyoursoul/?i_am=Shadow-BOT

building anything on the moon is too dangerous. It's way too important to the Earth's gravity to risk messing with. If for example a facility on the moon accidentally exploded, it might rock the moon somehow and drastically mess up the Earth's climate.
It's a good place to visit, but I wouldn't set up shop there. Instead, I suggest Nasa gets of their butt and develops some faster space travel methods and get a full team to Mars and get some facilities started, maybe personally explore the entire planet and make sure there arent any natives, and if there are, make a full retreat and wait a few centuries before returning and attempting peace arrangements (or mass genocide, if you've read your history books).
One of the biggest problems with space travel right now is fuel. In order to get a rocket off of the planet you need a LOT of fuel, which takes up a lot of space and doesnt leave much room or money for effective means of travel once you're IN space.
Therefore I suggest a spaceship designed specifically for the fastest SPACE travel possible, only carrying the fuel required for fast movement in that sort of environment, and not bothering with having loads of fuel for takeoff. Why, you ask?
The ship is designed so that it can land like a jet, much like the space shuttle itself. However, rather than requiring a giant rocket full of expensive and spacious fuel, the ship is launched from an underground silo (much like those used to fire missiles) designed to act as a rail gun. This means that the silo is full of powerful electromagnets that propel the rocket upward (one magnetic ring activates above it, lifting it up, then that one deactivates and the one above it activates, so on so forth, propelling it out of the silo).
Tada. Jay C's solution to interplanetary travel.

Jay I completely agree, I said something similar about mars in my earlier posts, but another problem, food and vegetation, where would we be able to have a constant supply of food?
LOl i love the railgun idea of shooting it like we shoot those plastic planes we stick on a stick and pull the rubber band off, and there it goes! :Punk: . But that would take a while to invent, HAHA Time to get back to the old drawing board
. Its my patent! MINE!

Thats the major problem next to fuel, dried space cake anyone? Food is another major issue, You cant grow anything on mars, and you only have a certain amount of supplies on the ship.

Haha only 1 for me. Lately i havent been able to sleep right. But I gotta go to bed soon cause I've got a dentist appointment tomorrow.
As for food, ramen noodles. Fill that space that you WERE using for takeoff fuel with ramen noodles and water. Then of course recycle your water (Earth recycles its own water without losing any, so dont think that you cant do it in a smaller environment with the right technology) and genetically engineer entire panels of blank plant matter that will photosynthesize oxygen for you from the carbon dioxide you breathe out, keeping to the water recycling, and as for light and other energy requirements? Artificial star. Lol, yeah I cant make EVERYTHING sound rational can I?

Rofl, artificial star, yeah but can an astronout keep healthy on ramen noodles? I mean, you would need stuff from all of the food groups that are essential, such as, cheese, milk, of course you can make a pill that gives oyu all of the nutrients :P.
