i read somewhere that wormhole was when two black holes somehow combine for a short amount of time, allowing you to pass from one end to another.... i cant remember exactly what the article said, but i know it was more in depth...

im not sure about all that but ive read around and beleive there is enough pressure in a black whole to crush your body but i think if somehow you were able to get threw it would shoot you across te galaxy(assuming seeing as it has two ends)

You should wikipedia it though or ask steven hawking.

I use my psp all the time in the plane. I was masturbating once while watching some lesbian videos when a fat lady beside me was sleeping and her really hot daughter next to her was getting ready for my dong to shove up her ding. Then, her daughter and I were about to go to the bathroom together but, the air hostess came to tell me i should stop right now. I swear this happened. I am never taking my psp to the plane again. Always got my iPod though...hehe. ;)

sorry i was but that was because he mentioned wormholes too and got me kinda mixed up sorry what i said applies to WORMHOLES not blackholes.

in not sure what would happen if you are to enter a black hole but if star trek(wich i think sucks by the way) has anything to say is that it could put you somewhere in a different galaxy or anything i dont think scientests even know though they may have theories my personal theory is that it may be like a trash compacter and compact everything in its center untill its full then i think it dies off.

Is anybody else watching the special on black holes on the Science Channel? I'm watching it RIGHT NOW. Coincidence? I think not.

EDIT: Oh, and when you enter a black hole, you get spaghettified. Then, because the gravity in a black hole is infinite (or undefined rather), time stops. However, this is according to Einstein's theory of relativity, which states that the stronger gravity is, the slower time goes.

Standard nothing but end of life

For ordinary black holes of a few solar masses, there are actually large tidal forces well outside the event horizon, so I probably wouldn't even make it into the hole alive and unstretched. For a black hole of 8 solar masses, for instance, the value of r at which tides become fatal is about 400 km, and the Schwarzschild radius is just 24 km. But tidal stresses are proportional to M/r3. Therefore the fatal r goes as the cube root of the mass, whereas the Schwarzschild radius of the black hole is proportional to the mass. So for black holes larger than about 1000 solar masses I could probably fall in alive, and for still larger ones I might not even notice the tidal forces until I'm through the horizon and doomed.

Ok Man Im 14 And bealive me,I kno alot about this stuff....Now 1st thing is if the earth entered a black hole...it will suck u in butt all u will feel is a huge drop in gravity..beacuse nothing escapes and earth its self is gonna get ripped apart soo u might bee flying off of earth 2...2nd thing is if u enter tht 1 black hole there wont be any time, hrs, mins, even secs, beacuse u will be going fast like the speed of light:Argh:,3rd thing is some ppl might be on earth and some ppl wwont beacuse of the gravitation force being excerted... and to my perspectives,no one will be on earth beacuse earth will be ripped apart 3rd thing is ,mostley the last thing is,the Sun for example,in 4.5 billion of yrs from now the sun will beacome a red dwarf beacuse of lost off hydrogen in its core and it wwill take a while for tht red dwarf to reach its R.D stage and then after the R.D stage it will reach it W.D stage meaning white dwarf stage...and after tht stage it will take 4 mill.too 5 mill.yrs to finnally collapse on itself and beacome a blackhole.. and beiliieve me ,if u where immortal, trust me u wouldnt want to see what happenes to the univeres next:Cry: ''If You Want to talk to me about more of this, hook me up on myspace,my account name,[email protected] .Thank You For Reading!!!!

that has to be the stupidest thing i've ever read.

    1. our sun is not big enough to become a black hole, black holes require extremly huge suns, we won't even get a supernova, it'll die silently.
    2. if a black hole were to come to earth, it'd go like this, as it approaches, we'd begin to fill it's gravitational force over earth's, which at first would feel nice, but as it got closer eventually, our bodies would be in conflict, against both the black hole, and the earth's gravity, eventually the earth well lose, and be destroyed, including us.
    3. finally when entered, the most common theory is such: all the material sucked in well be crushed, and pulled down into the center, so much so that a point no bigger than an pin well be far far denser than our sun, we would be crushed and killed.
    4. please learn to type, it was horrible to read what you just wrote, wall of text is not cool

Holy ****, I never knew about Antares and Betelgeuse!

Scary just thinking about 2 balls in the universe 1000's of times bigger than our sun!

Some quite interesting facts about Betelgeuse:

    - Scientists show that the star has a vast plume of gas almost as large as our Solar System and a gigantic bubble boiling on its surface.
    Spoiler for Artist Impression:

    - Emits light of that of 100,000 suns!

    - It's age is only a few million years old compared to our Suns life-span of over 4.5 Billion years.

    - If Betelgeuse were at the centre of our Solar System instead of The Sun it would extend out to the orbit of Jupiter, engulfing Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and the main asteroid belt!

    Interesting stuff. :)

EDIT: Check this out! This makes Betelgeuse look small!
