What was there before the universe?

I was watching this documentary on the big bang and they said:

That all matter that we see today was condensed into an atomic size of a H atom. And that all force were also binded together, keeping the matter together.

These foces included: nuclear (weak/strong), heat, gravity, electrostatics, magnetism. And gravity split off from the rest and caused the big bang...

Another universe.

The universe is currently expanding, but at some point it won't have enough energy to keep on expanding. When the (mass x energy) levels reach a certain threshold, the universe will start to contract. When it reaches the origin of the Big Bang, the collision of everything will create a new big bang and the universe is recreated.

Exactly, there was a different universe before this one which contracted into a little dot and then exploded.

Dont we have some type of multiverse theory/hypotheses and in that dont each of these universes over lap each other.


Also once read that contracting universe theory/hypotheses that we have a similar spacetime with our expanding universe as the one before the big bang... Then universe collapsed and then "bounced" as the Big Bang.


In the end untill some better Race comes and explains it to us we may never have anything more than theory/hypotheses...


But one thing that has always bothered me is that how do we get these data than a star burns out in 20 billion years but we havent even been around for less than a 8,000 years....Also I really dont trust carbon dating...I think that is just some bull and there is no teacher or book that can prove to me other wise...

the real answer.


The universe is constantly in motion, accelerating outwards seemingly infinitly. when alll the kinetic energy in the universe has been spent, then all the mass and matter in the now non moving universe will hang motionless for a moment, then gradualy make it's way back into itself. when this happens the enourmous pressure will cause a breakdown of all matter to a subatomic level. which will then result in an enourmous mass of incredible density which radiates NO light, BUT contains alll the gravitational force and potential energy in what was the universe.

thats what happens in the end. so the beginning would consist of that same enormous non defineable mass of matter containing ALL of the atoms in the universe which is constantly compacting itself and creating more pressure, and collecting more and more potential energy. when it builds up enough it "might" explode in a BIG... ummmmm whats that word...... Boom, no.... BUST! hmmmm no

For a boundary to exist, there has to be something on each side. You guys are completely getting the whole bigbang mixed up.

The known universe, aka matter, energy, theoretical (dark matter and energy) are expanding, pushing our universe outwards in boundaries, yes that's right. But they are speaking of it in a sense of what contains matter. A void is a void, no matter how you cut it, and the void of space exists in infinite dimensions outwardly, and goes forever into nothingness. and an easy assumption is, you can't create infinite nothingness, since it would create an infinite amount of time to create, no matter how fast the creator works (if there were one).

Knowing this, the universe more likely than not has no beginning nor end, just is and has been and will be.

Well I found this link that give you a little explanation about it:

About six Billion years before our Universe started accelerating towards this Big Rip process.
