What was there before the universe?

I've always asked this question and nobody can ever give me some type of answer. So what do you guys think? I know most of you are going to say, "Nothing". But what is nothing exactly? It can't be empty space, because that is something. So what exactly was there before the universe. I want to hear your thoughts.

I think the universe is and always has been. There is no 'before'. It was always there.

The universe is currently expanding, but at some point it won't have enough energy to keep on expanding. When the (mass x energy) levels reach a certain threshold, the universe will start to contract. When it reaches the origin of the Big Bang, the collision of everything will create a new big bang and the universe is recreated.

There was never anything, just a huge white area, then an explosion created the universe! I think there are many Universes side by side

1: There could not have been white or just a huge space because the univerese made light and time.

2: If there are multiple universes they are not side by side because space only exists in the universe. 'Outside' (I use that term extremely loosely) the universe there is no space, therefore things cannot be beside eachother.

Emptyness needs space to even exist.

They were made through a blackhole? How does that work? Are you ignoring the fact that:
1: You just said there was nothing before the big bang.
2: Nothing can escape a black hole.

A dimension are the parameters used to describe the position of any object.
