I was talking to emo_hunter. You on the other hand are allowed to participate in this little debate/argument since you back it up with "facts." Anyway I came to this conclusion...
There is no way to prove it even though we have incredible telescopes than could find the US flag / blast craters if they REALLY WERE there..but anyway there is no way to prove if we did or didn't land so its just your own opionion and it doens't really matter if we did or didnt land :) except Russia would be really pissed at us for making it up just to say we won the space race...

We can't say we won the space race, because they were the first in outer space I believe...

I don't know if it's true or not, the only one thing that perplexed me was, if we were there in 1972 34 years ago. Then why have they been planning a mission to go back in 2008 since 1998. So we went 34 years ago and it only took 3 years to plan, but with all todays technology it will take 10 years to prep and we have already done it ??

EDIT: GW Bush called for a plan to revist the moon by 2020, how do you know they have been planning this for 10 years?

They're the best images we have of the landing sites, I can't believe any of you are realistically expecting to be able to see a flag or aything left by them.

Also Smart-1 the european probe that was only launched 3 years ago sent back images of the Apollo landing site, are they in on the conspiracy too?

2. You can't get past the massive belt of radiation named the Van Allen Belt outside the Earth without being covered in lead. Which the shuttle wasn't.

3. If you weren't watching the news lately, NASA has publically admited that they "lost" the original moon landing footage. Wonder why they did that? Because if the footage left there hands then they could say it was tampered with but I woudl put money on it that there was someone on the inside very close to uncovering it.

4. Various positions of shadow and lighting which don't add up.

5. America was having a tough time after the war. It was trying to beat Russia in the space race so they faked it. I am not judging America. It was perfectly reasonable to fake the moon landing.

I am not saying that it isn't possible, I am just saying that the original moon-landing didn't happen. Anyone who believes it hasn't done their research and is blindly believing what NASA and the American government feed them.

Also, the belt is toroidal in shape (like a donut) and the trajectories of the Apollo spacecraft were designed to avoid the worst part of the Van Allen belts. Even the discoverer of the Van Allen belts, Professor James A. Van Allen, has noted that the belts would not have been dangerous to the Apollo astronauts given their trajectories and their spacecraft.

I love the way peoples 'personal opinions' are based on no fact and when faced with over whelming evidence they still refuse to believe.
The moon landing happened, not because I think it happened but because the evidence prooves that it happened. If the evidence proved that it didn't happened then I would believe it never happened.

Nothing fishy at all. After the moon landing clamor died down and everyone saw the footage televised, they just packed it up in a crate and sent it into storage.
Trust me, the government has piles and piles of things they've "lost" in storage.
It's not missing, they just can't find it in the warehouse or can't find which warehouse it's in.
I've closed down military installations before and found some really odd **** they "lost" when they stored it all in old ammo bunkers and forgot about it.
Everything from boxes of ancient .50 cal rounds to hundreds of mosquito nets to cots to tank tarps, etc.
Remember, some flunky probably wound up being the one to actually move the films and he/she probably either forgot to write down where it was, the paperwork is lost, etc. Remember, this was decades ago.
