Never going to happen, Even if it WERE Fake(It was real) the united states would never reveal that.
Zitat von FLai
Although I have proof it was fake. I have the set in my living room, I filmed it and uploaded it to nasa back in the day.

Unless the metal is lead.
Oh, come on. I had a higher opinion of you than this. At least CITE your sources, please, or we're going to have to totally disregard you.

From the small amount of things I have seen I would say it was a hoax, I have seen a few (about 4) videos arguing both points.
1. I would say the fact that it was only done at that time, and hasn't particularily advance technology-wise, otherwise you'd have done more.
2. The fact that two shadows are present is a bit confusing
3. The fact thaty the US had got nowhere in comparison to Russia but then suddenly did this is 'surprising' to say the least..
Theres more but I cant think of them ATMWhat did we think the world would look like in 2015?

There was 5 unmanned missions to the moon and 6 manned missions that landed on the moon. I think they did it enough.

I cant get you a link as, as I said, i watched it on videos. there is one time where an astronaut is standing next to a flag pole type thing and the flagpole has a shadow going north and a shadow going east (or west)
Also, but only done at the time, i mean that two years previously the 'american attempt' blew upWhat did we think the world would look like in 2015?

After having done extensive research on the US's space program this weekend (this thread really sparked my interest), I believe it was in a state where it definately could have landed on the moon.
NASA was founded in October of 1958, about a year after sputnik's launch.
Project Mercury (launches from 59-63) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Mercury] launched space craft from 1959-1963 and had 7 flights where it launched men into space using Redstone & Atlas rockets, and also had several unmanned flights. (The program ran into very few major problems.)
Mercury was followed by Project Gemini (launches from 65-66) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Gemini], which successfully launched 2 men into space at once and had missions lasting up to 4 days in space (enough time to reach the moon and come back). From 1965-1966, it had 10 manned missions, and also went mostly without a hitch. It proved humans could handle long space flights and also that we had the capability to dock ships in space.
Project Apollo (launches from 61-75) [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Apollo] was originally going to come before Gemini, and mainly do more Earth orbiting space projects, but Kennedy said:
"...I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon and returning him safely to the Earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind, or more important in the long-range exploration of space; and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish..."
Project Apollo had several test missions before landing on the moon, including Earth orbits in the Apollo spacecraft, and Lunar orbits in the Apollo spacecraft. Both of those seem entirely plausible, and landing on the moon with the lunar module is not much more difficult to achieve. All evidence shows that the missions were in fact real and successfull, and I have yet to see a reputable source show otherwise.
The Columbia Space shuttles first launch was in 1981, only 6 years after the last Apollo mission, showing how little our current spacecraft has advanced in technology from those used in the 60's and 70's. The last time we landed on the moon was in 1972, only 34 years ago, and since the missions were more novelty than scientific, we don't have a whole lot of reason to go back. Also the space shuttles aren't really designed to go beyond an Earth orbit, but NASA is planning to land on the moon again with the introduction of the CEV with Project Constelation. A Mars landing is also planned for some time after 2030. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Constellation]Geändert von xigency (09-25-2006 um 02:35 PM Uhr)
