Ever wanted to recolour icons in under 10 minutes?. If so, this is the guide for you :D
You will need recolouring-icon-files, RcoEditor and Adobe Photoshop.
Step 1: Choosing your icons
I chose evolve's "Black Aruziah" icons.
(You can see my finished icon-mod at the bottom of the post)
Step 2: Extracting the icon files
Extract recolouring-icon-files.rar to a new folder (Example: C:\Coloured Icons\)
Open the topmenu_plugin.rco using RcoEditor.
Click on "Extract All..." and extract them to the folder where you previously extracted recolouring-icon-files.rar.
Go to the folder where you just extracted the icons to. Open "Script.bat". Wait until it says it is done and then you may close it.
Step 3: Colouring!!!!!!!!
Open *one* of the .bmp files in photoshop
Make sure that you have an "Action" window. If not Window > Action
Click on the "Create New Set" icon (it looks like a folder). Call it something that you will remember (Example: My First Recolour).
Click on "Create New Action" and call it something.
Now its time to colour! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Spoiler for Here are some cool suggestions::
-CTRL + U = Hue/Saturation (Make sure colorize is ticked)
-CTRL + I = Invert the colours
Click the "Stop Action Button".
Close the picture that you have open.
Now it's time to open "all" of the pictures.
Open them (dur.)
File > Automate > Batch
Set: *insert name here*
Action: *insert name here*
Source: Opened Files
Destination: Save and Close
Step 4: Replacing the normal icons
Open the original topmenu_plugin.rco using RcoEditor.
Click on "Replace Multiple...".
Replace them using the folder where we edited our icons.
I hope this worked for you and I hope to see some colour-mix of some icons :)
