Remember the mystery iPhone trailer from last week? German site iFun.de got a piece of the action and now they've revealed what the trailer is all about, and a lot of you guys are about to have your guesses proven right: the mystery game is a GTA clone, and it's called Gangstar: West Coast Hustle.
Gangstar: West Coast Hustle appears to be as cloney as clones get. The game is so reminiscent of Grand Theft Auto that rating boards might have a field day with this one too. The mini-map, the health bar, all the way down to the crosshair - it's very GTA. Let's not forget the gameplay, which strengthens the point even more.
Despite the blatant GTA inspiration, however, Gangstar: West Coast Hustle is set to become the first full-3D, open-ended game on the iPhone. Set in LA, you get to play the usual gangster and explore whole cities, make your way around buildings, complete with cars to steal and ram. Both the accelerometer and touch controls were integrated into gameplay, like when driving and having shootouts.
Gangstar: West Coast Hustle is slated for an end of summer release.
