NetHack, the popular "roguelike" dragon player game, has been making its happy rounds on the PSP and the DS for quite some time now. That's soon to change for the better as Dirk Zimmerman adds another platform for the enjoyment of NetHack fans, this time on the growing mobile gaming machine, the iPhone.
iNetHack is an iPhone port of NetHack 3.4.3, which was originally released in 2003. If you are not aware of how this game works, listen up: the player assumes a role (from a wide variety of choices, from knight, barbarian, wizard, rogue, valkyrie, etc) in a mission to retrieve the Amulet of Yendor.
The said amulet is nestled deep within the lowest level of the dungeon. Succeed, and you will be rewarded with immortality.
The iPhone port has been released just last night through the App Store, and you can pick up for US hey, what do you know, it's for free.
