First Star Software and Chillingo sent out the first batch of screens for
Boulder Dash, one of their latest projects for the
iPhone and iPod Touch. It looks a lot like
California Gold Rush which I posted for you guys yesterday, but apparently, the latter could just be clone for this one, which is a remake of its 1984 original.
With the absence of the quick joystick control that we had in the original, First Star opted to go with two virtual controllers that we see from a lot of iPod Touch/iPod games. With a variety of controls available, players can pick which style they are more co****table with. Players can choose between landscape or portrait, as well as adjust varying degrees of zoom with the pinch-zoom function.

Boulder Dash is released, which according to Touch Arcade is "very soon."
