What are the practical differences with itune 8.0 for people with JB iphones?

Nothing.. Why whould it change anything...It still let you sync music and crap to your iphone via itunes... Nothing changed...

Well I know Itunes changed... But nothing changed from Itunes to Iphone....In terms of sync stuff to your iphone... Unless you update to 2.1 where you do get some different benefits.

Itunes will by no means try and force update your iphone..Or block sync to your iphone in 8.0

Is anyone else having problems with itunes separating your albums ?
It's making me so annoyed.

ex. showing the same album twice but with half of songs in each.

ive had that problem a few times before, nothing but multiple item fixings that can't help. I use itunes to sort my music out then i import it to windows media player for listening. lol

it your tag. You need to clean them

There's one big change in itunes 8

Genius. Which is basically like party shuffle mixed with smart playlist, it finds songs that will flow well together and makes a playlist.

There's also a new visualiser which looks incredible.

I'm really impressed with it. I'm on my laptop at work atm and it only has 131 songs on it. I chose a file let genius do it's thing and was amazed that the 25 songs it chose weren't all the same artist.

I've got 12GB on my PC at home I'm gonna use genius repeatedly and make a mammoth playlist that flows well.

Genius. is nice....Almost as good as smart play list... Love it...

Same no linux apps will ever have this..

Doesn't itunes work through wine?

Genius is far better than smart playlist. Smart Playlist is basically an advanced search. Genius will only be effective though if you update it regularly with the itunes store.

Plus, it will only be accurate if most of the tracks you have are bought from the iTunes store.

and it works fine and I dont have any songs from itunes..

lol, the only problem i'm having with genius is that it won't send my playlist to Apple to use Genius, I get network timeout every time.
