Default Bypass Passcode Lock WITHOUT DFU/RESTORE

im the "goto" guy for my friend in the DEA.

They did a drug bust recently and confiscated this ipod and asked me to get the pictures off of it, but im having a hell of a time trying to get into it without restoring it:Argh:.

If anyone has any ideas or knows how to get into it WITHOUT DFY/RESTORE please get back to me.

1.Tried jailbreak but none of the programs can find the ipod
    2. itunes sees it when its connected but it wont show up in the device list at all "ipod must be unlocked...blah blah blah"
    3. I called apple and asked them if there was anything they could do to help me out and they gave me the "no there is nothing we can do to help you" bull sh**

Bull ****ing **** mate, more like you decided to steal some poor persons ipod, the DEA have more resources readily available to them at hand, without giving it to a 15 year old boy. Also giving you the ipod compromises the integrity of the evidence. Fail troll FAIL.
**** off and take your bull**** else wear.

Not bs, and no they dont have resources available to get into it. Im 18 btw (not that that matters) my friend told me to come here and ask about how to do it but i had a feeling what u just posted was going to happen.

And if it was stolen, do you really think i would care so much about the data thats on it? I would have restored it in 2 seconds and put my stuff on or it or sold it as is but thats not the case. I have an 8GB iPhone (iTouch is 8GB also) that i got when it came out and if you dont believe me ill take pictures of them both of them front and back to prove it. If your not going to help me please dont post things like that, im trying to get my job done as the go-to guy and get paid for my work.

Now taking a photo of the evidence for a forum, not for police use. It may not be illegal, but its very unprofessional.

I dunno if this works, can't watch it cuze dial-up, lol:
    http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=Au6H_u-q434

Have you tried connecting it to a PC and using some sort of Hard Drive backup software? Like something that makes an image of the disk. That could work.

The pass code is meant to do just what it does, protect the iPod. Ain't much else to do.

Lmao what a load of crap.

    1. The DEA DOES have the necessary know-how to get info off an iPod touch without the help of some internet-forum browsing kid. That's what their IT division is for.

    2. The DEA WOULD NOT give ANY evidence to a non-licensed investigator, and would most likely not even let it leave their offices because contaminated evidence is not evidence at all.

    3. NEVER IN A MILLION GODDAMN YEARS WOULD THEY TELL YOU TO ERASE EVERYTHING THAT WAS ON IT. Even if YOU lack the tools to get this done, if this was a legitemate situation, the DEA can appeal APPLE to get the data off the iPod, rather than relying on some nobody.

Fail. If you "Borrowed" your friend's iPod and want some help snooping around to see what pr0n he has stored on it, ask your friend for his password and don't "borrow" without asking next time.

Wow you people must not understand what a go-to guy is...
1.yes the DEA did give me the ipod to try to get into because apparently they dont have the resources to get the data off it.

    2. Apple couldent do ****, i did contact them and told them what was going on and they explained to me that i couldent get into the ipod because it disconnects itself from the computer thats being used to get data off it if its nit the original internal ip, and even if it was there is still only a 5% chance of it unlocking.

    3. They did tell me to erase what was on it because they found a kid that was willing to snitch on the dealer and tel them what they needed to know, so the guy that gave me the ipod to work on told me to fix it so he can just use it for himself.

Surely, the photos on the iPod would have to be on the computer as they are synced with the iPod everytime, once the photos are off the computer they are not on the iPod. Also wouldn't the computer be taken to begin with and surely the photos can still be seen with the iPod so they can be used in court that way.

thats what i said to the cop that gave me the ipod, and for some reason he like avoided the question because i asked him if i could hook the ipod up to that computer to and he never answered me.

What I am saying is that there is no need for the iPod to get the photos off the iPod as evidence, they can get them off the computer much easier and, I may have watched too many episodes of CSI but, surely the computer would be one of the first things of electronic equipment to be checked.

    Thumbs down

dude as DEA officer badge number (5721538) your full of ****
    1. your not certified
    2. you dont leave the compound with evidence
3.if you do leave you got 12 hours to return evidence or its no longer considered evidence
4.under no circumstances can you tamper with evidence (erase ipod)
5.no officer can withhold evidence. (you stated the your police friend wanted to you it for him self)
and last in order to obtain evidence you must be over 21 because officers under 21 cannot obtain or tamper evidence.

thats all i got to say

I'm sure you guys could open up the ipod and get the data off the hard drive (even though it's not really a drive) with other hardware.
