WTF Happen To IPod Nano?

Hey, I have the old 4GB Black IPod NaNo, The one wiht like a mirror on the back, And so I tried bringing it to school and I left it on hold but turned off like, In Sleep when you hold the Play buttion to turn it off, Now my school has meteal detectors and I had the IPod in my pocket and walked threw it, Didn't beep or anything went up to class and tried to turn it on to listen to it when I had launch and it never turned on from there, I tried charging it connecting to computer almost everything and nothing happen.... Am I in deep **** or should i work in a couple days lol stupid questions right..
