Okay so I just got my R4 today, really excited as my micro card (which is a SanDisk 2gb) came as well.
When I went to open the card on the PC to put on the firmware (I'm using the SD adapter that came with the card as the USB adapter that was provided with the R4 wasn't working ><) it came up with 'Card is not Formatted' and gave me an option to do so. I went to format it using Fat32 but when I clicked Start it just sat there, no indication that it was really doing anything except for the occassional flashes of the HD and SD which could've ment anything, and eventually came up with 'Could not be Formatted'. I tried Quick Format but that didn't work either.
Any idea if I'm doing something wrong, or is my micro sd screwed and should I look to get a replacement?
Cheers for any help ^^
EDIT: I saw from another topic that unless I have a 4gb I should just use FAT to format, just gonna try that now....
EDIT2: Okay so I had to format the card through command prompt since trying to do it via the graphical thingy on My Computer ended up doing the same thing as when I tried to use FAT32 (using XP btw) using the command 'format e: /fs:fat'. Everything seemed to go smoothly, named the card 'r4ds' and it automaticly came up with the folder.
I copied other the files for the R4 firmware (1.5), that too seemed to go okay and i could acess all the folders, but when I went to safley remove the device from the taskbar to test it on my DS it said 'Cannot remove since a program is still using it' (note nothing was being read or written at the time). I went into the cards root folder after this and when I tried double clicking on the _system_ or moonshl folders it came up with 'Not accessable, folder is corrupt'. Tried to delete the folders but came up with pretty much the same error. Reformatting didn't change anything... Anyone know whats up?
EDIT3: Okay this is weird, tried using the USB adapter again and everything works even after taking it out of the PC...
Meh, I'm not one to complain
