I have a Nintendo DS Lite and I was looking to get started and buy a flashcart. I was wondering if this package includes everything I need.
http://www.consolesource.com/ecomm/c...te-p-2450.html Also, I downloaded DsAIM and I was looking at the extensions of the included files. It has .nds files and .ds.gba files. Does a flashcart need to be .gba compatible in order to play .ds.gba files? |

all or most slot 2 flash carts play gba files. there is ds mode and gba mode. homebrew is usually run through gba mode i think. i might be wrong about that last statement though. dont buy g6 lite. its horribly overpriced. there are many options. would you like a slot 1 or a slot 2 card. slot 1 are shaped like ds cartridges and thus go into the ds slot. slot 2 are gba cartridges. go with slot 2 if you want gba rom capabilty.

ok well you can get an m3 lite or supercard lite, a microsd card (id advise 1 or 2 gigs(make sure your card supports the amount of space you choose)), and some passme device such as superkey. that it. i bought my stuff a while ago and it rounded to 130ish USD. i dont know if prices have dropped.

yes. when it comes to passme's just go for the cheapest, slot 1 device.
realhotstuff is a good place to shop. the best pass's look like ds catridges and dont need progamming of any kind. buy those. |

Unless you absolutely need GBA rom compatibility, I would recommend a slot-1 device like the R4, which runs about 40 dollars. I also recommend you read this guide: [GUIDE] DS Homebrew/ROMs/Flashcarts - What to do and what to buy |

Alright, I read that topic, and if I correctly understood what you wrote, both the .nds files and .ds.gba files contain the same files and so you only need one set. Alright!
I am going to purchase the R4, and a 1GB MicroSD card. and that should be everything I need, right? I found an ebay seller who will give me the R4 device for $61 total USD. Is there another cheaper, just as secure store? |

I put in the USB adapter and the microSD card, it knows there's a drive there, but it says 'Please insert a disk into drive I:'
Oh Jesus nevermind. XD I was so afraid of snapping the tiny card I didn't put it in all the way,. |
