good for ds?
i wanna buy a flash cart for gba games and im wondering if this is good for the ds
note i dont want nds games
thnx in advance
edit:meh u guys too long i found another one
is this good too?
so er which one is better?
Never seen any of these carts, but they look interesting.
They both work with gba backups on GBA/SP .... and NDS (or so they claim).
The smart linker thingy is a 2 in 1, its a cart+linker.
The Qbus 3 in 1 looks interesting, its a cart, linker and joypad all in one (and includes gba emulator software for PC).
Please notice 2 things about the Qbus:
- that "screen" on the joypad is ONLY a sticky !!
- that joypad has only 4 bottons (plus start+select)
The pc emulator part: today there are plenty of exellent working pc emulators .. all freeware and all work well with pc-joypads.
So a little friendly advise ... get the smart linker because:
- it 40$ less
- Dont forget about shipping, i bet the Qbus is gonna need 10-15$ more in shipping alone (just look at the size of that box)
- I havnt seen pc-joypad with 4 bottons since....1988-ish, if u want a pc-joypad u can get one locally at 10$ max.
This is just my opinion tho, so if all your friends has a Qbus already and u are gonna loose "street creds" for not having one - get one quickly (i was the poor kid in school , didnt have the right kinda expencive stuff the other kids had - and just look at me now - hoardin' every electronic-gizmo i can get my hands on)
What really worries me about the 2 kits, is there is very little about what the cart can do... do they have RTC, build in batteries, how do they save and how is backup compatibility and so on.
i think the second one is good....... little pricy though check lik-sang.com for some :icon_wink
For GBA games, the EFA Linker II is probably the best.
I have one and have done sort of a mini-review on it in here somewhere.
Small warning about the Qbus-joypad+flashcart-thingy. I just read that it ONLY works with some kinda ".qboy" files that u can ONLY download from their server. The server is free (at the moment) but u cant run any of your own homebrew at all, because of this.
