    Default EWin2 MicroSD

Is the EWin2 MicroSD a good flashcart? I'm not too bothered about GBA games, but want to be able to run homebrew. This is the only flashcart I can find in stock, and is £10 cheaper than all the others.

Which passme devices is it compatible with?

    thanks

I don't particularly want to be cheap, but this is the only flashcart I can find in stock in the UK. I need to have one by the 12th, because I go on holiday then. I want the SC Lite really, but no-one has them in stock. Any ideas on where I could get one?

Nice That would be very good, I'll post it on the front page when you do since I've been wondering about the product and how it will stand with its cheap price

Well so far, no good, lol. I get nothing but white screens when I turn on the DS with the Mini SD. Tried diffrent sd cards (diffrent brands and sizes) and diffrent passme devices ( 1st gen Superkey and passcard 3). Only site I know of is this one for them: http://www.game-acc4all.com/list.asp?id=38 If anyone knows of another let me. Guess I will email the guy and see if I can get some support for it.

Default Help me for the love of GOD!!!

Ok, I recently got a EWin2 MicroSD and have found out just how ridiculous it is to get any help for it. It seems like they truly strived to get perfect DS ROM emulation, then they took a dump on every other aspect.

    Good:
    DS Roms.
Some of the remains of the tattered homebrew apps.

    Bad:
This damn thing wasn't cheap! It was $60 Aus!
S**tty GBA cartridge that DOESN'T PLAY GBA ROMS!!
Every single homebrew app in existance has a grudge against working AT ALL!!
No support. Just Spanish websites that lead to Japanese websites claiming the next one will 'fix' all your problems!
    Barely any updates.

Can someone please make a forum dedicated to Ewin2!?

    Ok, here are a few problems that I would immensly appreciate help with;

    Lameboy 0.8
    -------------
Claims it now has sound, but I can't hear anything.
X and Y don't seem to do anything. Are they supposed to?

    All Snes Emulators
    --------------------
Alright, SNEmulDS freezes at game selection. SnesDS just has a black screen everytime I open a game. Snezzids (shudder).

    LemmingsDS
    ------------
Comes up with a message saying the config.ini file isn't on the root of the media even though it is.

    TowerDefense
    --------------
Whenever I open the Arthas icon titled TowerDefense.nds it stops loading halfway through.

    DoomDS
    --------
When I select the single play or whatever, the app explodes and shoots flashing S**T all over my screen.

And now, because I have requested so much of you all, I will contribute stuff I wish I knew before now that you may find useful for the Ewin2.

Find an SD card reader - This was the most annoying objective ever. All you need is something to put an SD card in such as a phone or a printer or a video camera etc... If you have 4 phones in your house that can do this but have no USB cord, you'd get pissed off too. I finally got this strange device that reads it for me. GL

Playing a DS Rom - Since the Ewin2's only strong point is DS emulation, this is a breeze. Get a DS ROM off the internet such as Final Fantasy III (U).nds (try the usual places, meaning spend hours googling or torrenting for it. Lol, burn.) Then open the program Ewintool (It comes with the cartridge, if not then DL it) and drag the rom onto the screen before you. Options are to trim it (Eliminate all unnessacary data which doesn't affect the rom at all), make a save file for it (Do this so the Ewin2 can save onto something when it opens the file) and force access it (Do this when the rom doesn't work the first time round). Output it to any folder, transfer it anywhere on the SD card (both the Final Fantasy III (U).nds and Final Fantasy III (U).sav) and now it is playable. BTW here's a heads up, FF3 needs to be forced accessed.

Save files for homebrew/emulators - All you need to do is take a save file you made from Ewintool that hasn't been used yet such as Final Fantasy III (U).sav and rename it to lameboy.sav or whatever the homebrew/emulators called.

DLDI - This is unnessacary for DS roms but is for most homebrew. Download the Ewin2 DLDI file located at the official website (Google it) and the DLDItool WIN32 GUI (same site). Patch any homebrew you come across (example: lameboy.nds) using these two.
Of course since homebrew has a less chance of working than a pyramid scheme, good luck with that.

MoonShell - This came with my Ewin2 so I don't care about how to get it or updates etc. It's important to know that you need to DL a MoonShell DPG Converter to convert .AVI and .MPEG etc to a format MoonShell can play.

That's a rap. I am now hoping to Satan that someone will help me. If you do you will have my eternal respect.

Next time, do some research before making a purchase.

There are a good number of other flashcarts in the same price range you could have chosen from. It was your choice to get the Ewin, therefore you have no right to complain.

Well actually, I didn't really have a choice when I bought it. It was the only one that I could get that I knew of that didn't force me to buy over the internet. And I don't need to hear you telling me it was a bad choice, I already KNEW that! I would just appreciate some help, not have some **** give me advice that's too late.

Look, if you can't help then don't reply. Perhaps someone else may be decent enough to attempt to help find a few answers. Urza, do you actually have an Ewin2?

You would be amazed at what google can find. How about you sell the crappy thing and buy a R4 or M3 simply for like $30?

I've already had a look for some on ebay but the R4 is $118 AUS and the M3 is $135 (comes with 1 gig SD). Quite expensive. Still, how much do you think i'd get off the Ewin for selling it?

$0 no less then $0 you'll have to pay someone to take that crap off your hands. Stuff is really that expensive in AUS? R4 is only like $33 here. http://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Ds-R4...3790533&sr=8-1

EWin2 can be booted using cheapo Games N Music without its microsd in it available at Walmart $20.00. and DSTTs Pass me works also. I just bought 2 one worked in my ds lite the other wouldn't But it works in my brothers. I paid about $23.00 total includes shipping. from http://www.sky2k.com/shop/ewin-micro...rs-pi-107.html
I haven't played with it much yet but to have a slot2 cart also this is dirt cheap.:Punk:
