Hi. My DS (fat one) touch screen doesn't work at all anymore, and this was out of the blue. As in, it worked fine and then all of the sudden it stops working. I can touch the screen all I want, but nothing will register. Before I ask what to do, I just want to get rid of possible responses...
"Why don't you try to recalibrate it?" Ha ha ha, no. I can't. Nothing I touch on the screen responds, so how can I calibrate it? I can hit the little crosshair all I want, it'll do nothing.
"Have you tried cleaning it with the toothbrush/pick method?" So much that I guarantee you it is spotless down there.
"Why don't you just ship it to Nintendo, then?" This is the funniest part. You see, to place an order with Nintendo you must provide the serial number of the DS system you are sending. Evidentally, my brothers and I must have very sweaty fingers or something, because the sticker with the serial number on it became blank. Yep. Blank. As in all white.
So then, besides throwing it out the window or playing dumb and trading into EBGames for a Lite, what are my options?
