What the hell is wrong with my N64?!
I realize that this forum is for today's Nintendo consoles, not classic consoles, but I think that it fits better here than in Off Topic. :)
I went to play my N64 a few minutes ago. I put in Banjo-Tooie and turned it on. Nothing happened. I put in Donkey Kong 64. Nothing happened. I put in Yoshi's Story. Nothing happened.
Then I went to put in Super Mario 64, and I remembered something. In order to make that game work, I had to put the game in on an angle. I tried that and turned it on. I then looked up at my TV. Showing on it was the Super Mario 64 logo. Then it proceeded to say "It's **scratch scratch** a-me, **scratch scratch** Mario! **scratch, scratch**" I thought to myself, "Has my ever-failing N64 finally broke?!" I turned off the system, took the game out, and put in Donkey Kong 64, but not at an angle. No dice. Then I put it in at an angle, and it worked perfectly. I played it for a few minutes, and then I remembered that Donkey Kong 64... sucked. :) So I turned off the system and put in Banjo-Tooie at an angle. No dice!!!
All my cables are fine.
I bought my N64 used a year or two ago.
It had always been having problems like this. When I first got it, it refused to start anything, so I tried to return it to EB Games. They took it into the back and told me that it worked. I took it home and it worked... sometimes.
Is there anything that I should do?
Can someone tell me what's wrong?
