I am sure there is statistics that cover the array of common faults with DS handsets, But i swear i must defy every statistic published.
I bought my DS lite from GAME (uk EB) this saturday, overwhelmed with glee i rushed straight home and slammed MKDS in for some WFC fun. My joy was seriously dampened when i realised i had 2 dead pixels on my touch screen.
A bit miffed but not entirly washed out i resolved to pop in to GAME the next day and pick up a replacement DS.
The Sales assistant (a cool chick gamer ;) ) was only to happy to replace my broken DS with a new one. Awesome, with my new DS i headed out into the seating area to have another attempt at Wifi play (shoppin center has a wifi lan in it), sat down and found that the replacement had 3 dead pixels on the TOP screen
So off i trotted back to the GAME shop to speak to the nice clerk again. She was a bit shocked but immediatly dissappeared upstairs and got me another replacement. This time I had desided that i wasnt leaving he shop till i had a fully working DS dammit
Back she came with another one, put my MKDS cart in the new one powerd it on and...... oh dear big line across the bottom screen. Ok i am now straining my mind to remember exatly which celestial entity i pissed off and TBH by the look she was giving me so was the gamer chick!
so she walks back up stairs and brings back 2 new DS' to try, i have rambled on long enough so to cut a long story short, the 4th DS powered on fine, no dead pixels, no working touch screen!!!
Close to tear i try the 5th on and finally i have a working DS that i love and can call my own....... up until the point i am expecting the hinge to crack coz lets face it with luck like mine its GONNA happen!!!
Ok one final work however before people who were going to buy one don't or sony fanboys have a field day. She told me (rubbing salt into the wound) that they only on an average get one faulty returned per week, it was just my **** luck!
ok i am going to go play the lottery cause i feel lucky!! :Argh:
