I'm off to bed now, just sorted all my fleetsaves and made sure everything is in order, but I've only jsut noticed how amazingly close I came to actually building myself a Deathstar. I have all the technologys finished, I need 3 more shipyard levels and 4 more research lab levels to build it. My only problem is the gravitation tech research. 300,000 enery would be hard to get. I'm not sure what my next goal is, but I don't think that'll be it.
You will need shipyard 12, want nanite 5, and make everything at once within 12 hours.
Or make defenses like CRAZY. Thousands of the small stuff and hundreds of the big defensive guns.
You aren't remotely close to building a deathstar. Your grav run would be crashed on Day 1 and I'm pretty sure you don't have a Nanite Factory high enough to make the run in under 12 hours.Zitat:

Not yet, decided to build Destroyers instead. Once I hit 500 of those I'll be saving for the run. But I still need to bump up to Nanite 5 or 6 on the planet I'm doing it on. It's at 4 right now.

Ummm, overall, what would be more useful to build? Destroyers or battleships? I mean, which is better value for money, or which is most commonly needed?
At your level Battleships. I only started building Destroyers recently because they tie up a normal shipyarrd for close to four hours.
But if you have the tech level, I would concentrate on Battlecruisers. I built up about 700 of them and then stopped and went to building Destroyers.
You really need to have a good fleet makeup and can't really concentrate on one ship. Keep it balanced.

Thanks for the advice. I am trying to keep a balanced fleet, although I'm unsure of what sort of ratio i should build each ship at. Aaz0 told me to try and aim for the following;Zitat:

I';ve been building towards that since I came back, although I havn't gotten far. The only thing I've to be proud of not having been raided since I rejoined, as before I left I was hit about 6 times a day.

too many cruisers if u ask me.
I was thinking ditch the light and heavy fighters, either that or make more of them. I don't see the point in having them for starters, but if I have to, I would've thought more than 200. Also, the cruisers, didn't think about them much. I havn't a clue, so, I just assumed this'd be good, or close to it.
You can never have enough LF fodder. This is my current fleet composition.
I trust you guys won't be spreading this around to others, etc.

My fleet in Uni 33 is very similar, but more BC's and BS's because I never got started building Destroyers.
I have alot of LFs too, 1/4 my fleet count. Would be more, but I have plenty of other small ships that are supposed to be destroyed by a certain someone. :p
The reason I said 200 cruisers is because of the speed. When I used to raid/farm then I would send cruisers most of the time, with afew BS to help.
Um, Adiuvo, I saw something on the NC V forums. Make more defenses or make less resources, he says he'll try to farm you. :(
I have tried asking NC V not to attack Rebel, but there's no changing their minds. If there's profit, they attack.
Regarding the moonswap, I haven't heard from you in a while and already found someone else to moonswap with, and we agreed to do it later today. However, the guy who wants to farm you also wants to moonswap... so maybe you guys can work something out?
Could I get a copy of that thread? If it's who I think is then I'm not really worried to be honest. The guy has only attacked my main twice, and for the first he had to send a bunch of IPMs for a rather small defense. I never bothered turtling my main for some reason >_>
Regarding the swap, it's OK. It's my fault since I only logged into ogame yesterday and a lot of my messages were gone. The limit got shorter, I swear.
I've been building my fleet up since I came back, yet still it seems I don't have much. I still have a lot on the production line, but the ships I currently have in my fleet are:
Large Cargo - 14 (84 combined)
Light Fighter - 10
Heavy Fighter - 1
Cruiser - 10 (20 combined)
Battleship - 19 (24 combined)
Recycler - 11
Bomber - 5
Destroyer - 5
Battlecruiser - 3 (8 combined)
Note that where I've wrote combined, thats everything put together off all my planets, which I'll probebly deploy to my main soon. The first number, obviously, is the fleet on my main. I wanted to ask, am I building too much or too little of any type? I just want to keep in check, as last time I pretty much made a mess of things before I left. I know that doesn't seem to be a lot of ships for the time taken, but I've also got 200 RLs, 100 LLs, 1 large and small shield on every single planet.
It's not a bad startup, but don't make too many Destroyers and Bombers until you are able to cope with their costs.
