yep i can.
sats are cheaper definitely, but for each lvl of solar plant i can get 2 lvls on my mines. :) plus, its indestructible.
i have to say its a very worthy investment, mines and solar plant upgrades.

I make myself and unprofitable target, so I don't really worry about losing solar mines.

If I do I could always attempt an escape. Some people cut it within three seconds.

I had one of those earlier, I just destroyed it straight away.

My 1st planet is getting full pretty quick. 110/163 used

What does the number of fields mean and how do you check how many a planet has

Fields represent the space available on a planet for buildings. Every level of a building you construct uses one field. The Terraformer can be used to increase the max fields of a planet.

All home planets start at 163 fields (regardless of position) and as a general rule planets 150-200+ are desirable for long-term expansion when colonizing new planets.

Defense structures do not use up fields on planets or moons.

Are you still playing Fresh? I saw your planets a few times.

I have a colony in galaxy 8. It took me 4 days to send a colony ship there and it ended up being 60 fields. It doesn't matter to me though since I can build colony ships from there and try get more colonies which are bigger.
I can send resources back to my home planet in about 12 hours in galaxy 1.

Nope, plenty of other people have gone there first, but they are all inactive now, thats why I stay there :)

I've got five planets in Galaxy 1.

I've decided that my next big thing to save up for is Nanite Factory.

I'm going to galaxy 9. I'm alooooone there.

I thought about putting a planet there and keeping a chunk of my fleet there.

I'm just building a lot of resources there so I can do some major research without being bothered by attackers.

I already have a level 19 solar plant on my homeworld.

I need to research computer tech two more levels and then robotics factory one level....then save up for the nanite factory.

I'm at the stage where I need to have shipyard times halved.

Not really, I get most of my energy from solar sats now and most resources from raids.

Here is a inactive planet up for grabs, i decided not to take it because of the defense

[1:476:8]

Metal: 64.788
Crystal: 27.964
Deuterium: 14.547
Energy: 272

the only defense is 15 rocket launchers

I'm on my way there now. Sent a few cruisers and 6 large cargos.
