Will this be enough?
I want to play crysis and my computer checks out except the graphics card, will a XFX GeForce 8800 Ultra Video Card - 768MB DDR3, SLI Ready, PCI Express, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV, Video Card be good enough to play crysis decently in your opinion.
Here is the link to it on tigerdirect.
If this will not work could you please tell me one in the $200 range that would work if there is one.
and it needs to be PCI-E
Thanks in advance for the help.
That would work great, I have the 8800GT 512mb and it can run Crysis on High (granted it's not 30fps but a solid 25 I believe). I beat the game on my desktop with the 8800GT, so totally playable
Ya lol 8800 Ultra is plenty for Crysis.
What are your other PC specs? You need more than a good graphics card.
i remember when that card was 800 dollars a pop. anyways, look into the 8800 GT or the GTX 260.
Make sure your power supply can handle this card because it does require a bit of power. (not much as the 8800 Ultra did though, last time I checked.)
a bit pricey yes, but it comes down a little more after rebates.
You'll need a decent intel dual/quad processor as well as a minimum of 2 GB of ram.

is that good enough I think that it is but i have heard that the requirments were kind of below what is needed.
Thanks for all the great help.
Not a fan of AMD processors myself but that should work great
Also you might want to get this if you can (if you have the room): http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...L0B-_-14130347
Yeah that should work great.

Why not just buy that $699 CRYSIS PC. They have a link on KOTAKU.
Dude seriously just stop! If your spamming for post count then you can look forward to a ban in the very near future.
Back on topic why would he spend $699 for an entire PC when he could just spend $150-200 for a graphics card and achieve the same thing.
As far as I know the Crysis PC isn't released yet.
Just go with an 8800GT, you shouldn't have too much of a bottleneck with it and should be able to play at a high enough resolution nicely. Your CPU is too slow for an 8800 ultra. unless you overclock you won't be getting all that 8800 ultra can give.
Your computer is plenty for Crysis. my computer is worse than you ,but i can run crysis smooth..
