Default faster memory card = faster capture rate?

if i buy a faster memory card (do they even make speedier sd cards?) will it make my camera take pictures faster? i have an casio exilim ex-z600 if that helps. thanks.

It depends on the write speed of your camera's SD port moreso than the card's speed.

Shutter speed doesn't rely on the memory card.

Its the camera that takes the picture fast or slow.
