ok i have dial-up and it took a VERY long time to download Gimp and its installer. Soooo, after they were all done is was so happy but when I opened the "gimp-2.2.11-i586-setup" file I got this error.

I'm not sure about the error, maybe a bad download? Here's a good link:

Make sure to download the GTK+ runtime environment as well. (Also in the above link.)

yeah, you need the gimp environment to work gimp...
after that isis all smooth sailing, but i doubt that is our problem since it talks about a corrupt file in the message... I belive you downloaded a bad file, or you didnt compleatly finish the file download.
I reccommend re downloading it just in case, cause that is the only reason for such a message to pop up...
