To get started lets just get a few simple items
- DXG 305V(or whatever you find)
- SD Card
- Some sort of editing program
After this your down about $150
II. Getting to Know you Camera
First take a look to see all the buttons and ports on your camera. I'll use the DXG 305V as an example

The first thing should do when you get a new camera is go through all the menus and get familiar with them while also getting used to how you camera works.
After you know how all your components work pick a nice clear day to walk out side and snap some shots.(Flowers, Trees, whatever).
III. What to take pictures of
That's all your choice, Just have while while doing it and see how things come out. I just have a few tips on things that will look good a bad digital cameras.
1. Take Pictures outside
-Most of the time it's to dark to get anything good
2. Take Pictures of Tree, Flowers and Buildings
-They always look great and they don't move
