Ever wondered how game developers add those sound effects to video games? Square Enix gives us a behind-the-scenes tour of their foley sound studio for Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3), where they show us how they add the sound of clanking armor into the game.
These sounds are recorded (duh) and synchronized to give each soldier an individual sound, making it seem like each of them are clinking and clanking as they walk. Nothing like getting the sound from the original noisemaker eh? I was gonna ask, but then I guess Square Enix is exactly the type of company that would have big metal gauntlets hanging around. I wish I had one of those here, just for kicks.
