Over in
Japan,
Tecmo has announced an official release date for Team Ninja's
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, the PlayStation 3 version of
Ninja Gaiden 2. They're also prepping a couple of special editions for the game.
The launch has been set for October 1, and Tecmo is throwing in a Premium Starter Set for those who pre-order for JP 7,800 (US 81). The set will include a guide book full of artwork and strategies as well as a download code for an original
Ryu Hayabusa costume.
Those who have even more money to burn can opt for the Premium Box which will be available for JP 9,980 (US 104). This edition will contain a copy of the standard version of the game, an original soundtrack, a special sleeve, and an original accessory set as well as the stuff in the Premium Starter Set.
So far, this is for Japan only. No word yet on a US outing for both sets but
GameStop has a
blank listing for a
Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 collector's edition. Maybe it's for one of these two.
