Recieved an email with this program in it. Let me know if anyone tries it out. I have virus scanned it and it is clean, here is the email, and below that is the link to the file:
With my limited knowledge of the programming of the
PSP, I felt like I wanted to do something to aid the
PSP community. I used my fading knowledge of VB to
create this nifty little program. Its basically a
program with a built in Quicktime player that is
constantly refreshing so that the video is constantly
streamed onto the PSP while using PSPVNC. The only
problem is that the speed of the video playing depends
on the speed of the WiFi. Im hoping to up the speed in
later versions, as well as the plain GUI, I just
decided I would release what I had for those who would
like to play around with it. It does require Quicktime
and VB plugins so I packaged the program into one
folder with all the needed files included, so the user
can choose to install the program, or run it stright
from the folder. Here is the readme:
PSPVNC Media Player v1.0
This program only supports .mov, .mpeg, and .mp4 files
at this time. The program also runs very slow, but the
cause of this is speed of the wi-fi. The better
connection you have, the faster it will go.
How to use:
While PSPVNC is running on your PSP, open this just as
you would the PSPVNC web browser.
Click on Browse and select your video file.
Click on play to start it.
- Better GUI (Its very primitive right now)
- More media support
- Faster playing speed
Its not very good at this point, but its only a half
hours work. Expect more in the future.
