[Report] Forum Upgrade and Changes Report Logs. [01-27-07]

I actually.. kinda am planning to make another 300k cost club, and not allow users to be in both. Kinda make it a choice between the 2.. but depends on how things play out. I have reasons. I wanna make 1 group offer something the other doesnt, making internal forum clans, pride, choices, etc. =) Not to mention in a few game additions.

RPG system.. well you KNEW that was coming, HOWEVER.. I am waiting on new packs for it! Reason is.. a massive new upgrade came to it.. so instead of installing the old one, that wont be able to import to V3, I wanna give you the best when its able. =)

I have many plans to make things nicer, even maybe look into getting a user selectable darker skin for forums. =)

If anyone is SKILLED at vB skin styles, that use STANDARD looks (Since I will be using it as a "child style" so I can just edit one style and it auto imports to the others.. ) make it and show me it, Should be just actually CSS part of vB only thats needed. So if you take the normal vB style, edit the CSS of it for color etc. Then export the xml, I can look at it. =) What do you get? Well.. pride.. not to mention, maybe a HTML enhanced title.

Gonna try to add more to arcade too. =)

Will the club be avialable only to Premiums?

Yes, it will be...I hope. It better be!

What if we already spent 300,000 points on 300 club, and want to go to the other? Do we get our 300,000 refunded at least partially?

I just noticed the icon (quoting a pm) in the bottom left of a post and that it is the drop down menu after clicking on the username :)

I think that the people who had 300k before the upgrade should get the choice to have both! that would pwn, but be un-fair :p

Can I just make one suggestion, make the limit for doing a search less. Like from 30 to 20 secs?

Yes, only prems can "buy" into it. However, as always, if prem expires, you will retain ONLY the "key" features unlocked by 300k clubs, meaning 300k forum, sig or avatar setting and color. After all.. if you supported us this long to get that many points.. you can keep it. However.. you wont be able to access store, arcade, etc of course.

When it 1st goes live, I will authorize a temp allowance to switch usergroups free of charge. After that, its on your own. However.. rem.. I will modify the orig 300k club too.. so it will become a choice of which features you want more. Since the CORE change I will disclose is this. Blue 300k (The one right now) will allow the 125x avatar, which as you know is nice. The "Hot" 300k club will have increased image allowance and 10 line sig, however.. only normal avatar rules will apply.. (100x100 prem or 80x80 non prem) So different bragging rights as it were.

Reason I will NOT allow both to be used by one person is this.. take a paid prem.. they get both usergroups, stop being prem.. they would have too much extras in sig and avatar limits that would be unfair to prems. Granted.. no store or arcade or games access.... but still.

I may disable scoring.. or timing if I cant fix a issue with it.. that or I will go with my other idea for auto prune score on a weekly basis.

:P Well Fluff is banned, so his scores aren't counted in the arcade, the only reason why I'm the hexxagon champion. I usually play tetris. I also hope that Moon Patrol will be added :).
EDIT -- Yeah you should remove timing, as it isn't really working.

what if you make it so we can have both but when your prem ends it takes away any user groups features?

I cant really do that... as paid subscriptions sets one item or more.. so unless I set it to auto give 300k... it wont work that way.

Also no.. I manually pruned fluffs scores from arcade. Being that it was unreal. Just like I will do with anyone elses I catch.

well, I guess it will be a decision that we will have to make.

I'll judge better once I see the full features list for both.

why, did fluff chest or something? and about the auto prem features being taken away, ok, I understand!
-EDIT- Will we have the choice to switch user-groups? or we make one choice and that is it? maybe we could have a feature where you can switch twice, and then once the two times have gone you can't anymore?

Oh ok. Thank you! I agree his scores were very high, but I am sure he set them himself. :)

Sadly.. its not "back" its a different system.. since the OLD one they seem to wanna convert it to 3.6.0 vB not 3.5.4... IF however they get a converison process going.. I want everyone to know that, YES your "old" guestbook page is still stored in the SQL database.. its just that 3.5.4 has no way to call on it. =/

I'm having a problem with the userpage, I edit it and save it, and it says I don't have one. :Argh: I did copy it the second time though, any reason why this is happening to me?

Yes non Prems can do a "Shout" comment. =) Just tested with MysticTest.

Also learned that IF you were a "Prem" one time and lose it, your userpage will still show up, however you will not be allowed to edit it anymore.

Yeah, good point. Maybe wait another couple of days. You can go through most peoples profiles and see how many points they have in the bank, but that would take a while even if you just looked at premiums.

Yes, i agree. If there banned then thats not anyones but there own fault. And i thought that she was switching to VBux tonight becasue of what i read on page 46. But i guess she never really said when she was doing it.
